The Lily Underground
Over the years, many paintings of lilies have been purchased or donated to fund-raising auctions. Since, in a way, these individuals were unsuspecting supporters of the movement before there even was a movement, I now affectionately think of them as The Lily Underground.
With my gratitude to them, I share a few of their comments:
I still love the painting, and it has not moved from above my fireplace since I bought it. I look at it when I want to find the place of peace within myself, or when I need to remind myself to center and connect with Spirit. The painting has an upward movement, reminding me to connect with the Heavens, and with my spirit. I am always finding new colors in the painting, and love the blending of colors. —CM
For me, Pam’s lilies suggest the discipline from which true freedom comes. They flow and grow freely within a space they seem to define for themselves, fitting into and filling their space easily and naturally as anything beautiful will. —CR
I loved my painting of the lily when I first saw it. My instant reaction was it was life like in that it had depth the deeper you looked into the flower. The whole painting was quality in every way from my point of view. I will always keep it. It gives me a positive feeling every time I look at it hanging on my wall. —JH
