The Edible Schoolyard is part of a “garden in every school” movement, creating and sustaining an organic garden and landscape that is wholly integrated into the school’s curriculum, culture and food program. ESY involves students in all aspects of farming the garden and preparing, serving and eating food as a means of awakening their senses and encouraging awareness and appreciation of the transformative values of nourishment, community and stewardship of the land. edibleschoolyard.org
PLEASE NOTE: Throughout the site, Sonoran Kitchen Gardens is listed as a donation choice, but it is no longer in existence. Their mission, however, was inspired by the work of Alice Waters and The Edible Schoolyard. So, until all references to SKG are changed, please know that your donation will go to The Edible Schoolyard.

A note about the 20%:
When I first got the idea of donating some portion of money, I thought…10%. But then I thought…that’s kind of “usual”…how about more? So, in this time and mindset which is kind of “need every penny”….I challenged myself to stretch to an edge that might be a little uncomfortable. OK, double it to 20%. As it occured to me later, 20 is like the number 2, like me and you. It takes two of us to make this transaction…me putting the artwork out there and you buying it….and together we create this gift. That’s cool…I like it!
